China Merchants Group (CMG) is a leading state-owned enterprise based in Hong Kong. CMG actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative, operating 49 ports in 19 countries and regions around the world, most of which are located at important points along the Belt and Road.
The China Merchants replicated the success model of Shekou in PPC: Port-Park-City in countries along the Belt and Road and built Zhongbai Industrial Park, Djibouti Free Trade Zone and other integrated development projects. In 2016, China Merchants made a breakthrough in the pilot project of “Silk Road Station” in Djibouti, which the “Shekou Model” landed overseas for the first time. In 2015, China Merchants participated in the construction project of the Belarusian Zhongbai Industrial Park by building the first project, the Zhongbai Business Logistics Park. The first phase of the project has been completed and put into use, of which Huawei, ZTE and GEELY AUTO have already moved in.

Founded in 1995, BYD Company Limited (BYD) was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. BYD is principally engaged in the IT industry with its secondary rechargeable battery business, mobile phones, computer parts and assembly operations, as well as traditional fuel vehicles and new energy sources. BYD is actively developing new energy products including solar power stations, energy storage power stations, LED and electric forklifts with its advantages in technology advancement.
Up to now, BYD has 220,000 employees worldwide and owns 33 domestic and foreign industrial parks. It has production bases in the United States, Brazil, Japan, India, and many countries and regions along and related the Belt and Road. In countries and regions along the Belt and Road, BYD involved mainly in the areas of railway and transportation, electric vehicles, energy storage and other products or solutions for large-scale infrastructure construction.
